Belle Watson Studio hosts absolute beginner ballet workshops and classes specifically for adults interested in exploring the benefits of ballet technique.
Sessions focus on vocabulary, alignment, and coordination that are essential in developing a strong technical foundation.
Stretch & Strengthening
These sessions are designed to elongate and strengthen your muscles, helping to prevent future injuries. We discuss stretches you can practice at home and the best techniques to do them. This class helps improve posture, alignment, strength, and flexibility. Belle Watson Studio is partnered with Maison Athlē. Optional weighted bracelets are used throughout exercises.
Absolute Beginner Ballet Technique
This classical ballet barre class with optional center work covers technique essentials for absolute beginners. No dance experience required. These 1 hour classes focuses on alignment, coordination, musicality, the upper body port de bras, and lower body form while going through choreographed exercises to classical music.
Ballet Body Basics
Ballet Body Basics re-imagines a ballerina’s pre-barre warm up for the Nine-to-Fiver, activating key muscle groups to encourage a strong and centered body. In this floor-based full body workout, Isabelle pays special attention to students’ alignment and encourages long, lifted bodies through dynamic stretching and strengthening exercises. Classes are limited to 5 students. Boutique-style classes allow for students to receive the attention and personalized corrections that are necessary for quality ballet technique instruction.
Classes are based in Downtown Manhattan.
